Macomer: A 42-year-old man armed with a knife threatens a bartender and a customer. He is arrested by the Carabinieri.

Un 42 year old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Macomer Company on charges of attempted private violence e aggravated threat after a serious assault that occurred in a bar in the center. According to the reconstruction by the military, the man had entered the place demanding to consume two drinks by paying for only one and even asking for change. When the bartender refused, the 42-year-old left the bar, only to return a few minutes later with a one meter long iron pole.

At that point the situation escalated: the man threatened the customers and intimidated a girl who intervened to defend the bartender. Brandishing a “Pattadese” type folding knife, it has pointed at the young woman's throat, seriously endangering their safety. The intervention of some customers prevented even more serious consequences.

When the girl composed the 112, the agitated man threw a glass bottle, which fortunately did not hit her. The immediate arrival of the CarabinieriMacomer Mobile Radio Unit allowed to block the 42 year old and make it safe. The man was then arrested in flagrante delicto for attempted private violence e aggravated threat.
