In the early hours of yesterday morning, the State Police has launched a large-scale operation in the province of Nuoro, culminating with the arrest of six people deemed to belong to a criminal gang specializing in armed assaults a cash vans, ATMs and State Monopolies deposits.
The activity, developed on a large scale, has seen around one hundred State Police officers were involved, engaged in the execution of precautionary custody orders e numerous searches conducted simultaneously in different locations in the province, in particular between Orgosolo and Siniscola.
The investigations led to the identification of a criminal organisation with an operational structure and dangerous means, capable of using weapons and explosives during their raids. The investigators, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Nuoro, they collected elements considered significant to outline the role and participation of each member of the group in the assaults carried out or planned on the territory.
The operation, conducted with a large deployment of personnel and resources, represents a significant effort to combat organized crime in central Sardinia, aimed at ensuring the safety and protection of citizens and local businesses.
