Novara, the State Police breaks up a large drug dealing ring

The State Police of Novara, following a vast and complex anti-drug operation, in the early hours of this morning, December 10, 2024, he carried out six precautionary measures, thus putting an end to a drug dealing activity that was carried out in the province of Novara and which ensured huge profits.

In particular, three precautionary detentions in prison were carried out, two obligations to remain in residence with presentation to the Judicial Police and a ban on residence in the Province of Novara.

All measures were issued by the Court of Novara at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office.

During the same investigation, five arrests were made in flagrante delicto, with the seizure of over 3 kilograms of cocaine.

The investigation conducted by the Flying Squad began in August 2023 and originated from a previous arrest in flagrante delicto, which occurred in June 2023. On that occasion, some details emerged that had drawn the attention of the investigators, who had understood that the arrested subject was part of a broader criminal context.

Those who were suspects, during the investigation, became precise confirmations and the development of the initial investigative hypotheses then allowed to bring to light a branched and consolidated drug dealing activity, of a pyramidal nature, conducted with professional methods, adopting precautions, even in movements, indicative of operational methods in carrying out the drug dealing activity certainly consolidated, not indicative of an occasional nature in committing certain crimes.

The investigations revealed that there were individuals in the drug dealing network who moved large quantities of cocaine, two kilograms every month. In particular, DH, 50 years old, an Albanian citizen, was the “boss” of the criminal gang.

The cocaine was obtained through another Albanian individual, NI, aged 43, resident in the province of Novara, able to deliver 2 kilograms of cocaine every month to DH for his illicit drug dealing activity.

Then, under DH's command, there were other individuals with very specific tasks.

PD, 24 years old (Albanian citizen), HR, 27 years old (Pakistani citizen), RA, 47 years old (Italian citizen), GE, 22 years old (Albanian citizen), were the “horses” with the task of delivering the doses of cocaine to the numerous buyers residing both in the municipality of Novara and in the province. They received a real monthly salary, about 5000 euros per month.

Every morning DH met with his couriers and arranged for their supplies for the day's cocaine deliveries. The meetings, recorded by some cameras, took place inside the parking lots of some shopping centers in the city.

In this frame DH placed the doses of cocaine inside their car and subsequently his runners, in this case GE and RA, approached the car to collect them.

The price of the single doses, weighing 0,40 grams, was 40 euros. Every day the criminal association was able to complete about 150 sales with a daily profit of about 6.000 euros.

The leading figures in this investigation have specific criminal records, and despite their criminal record, they are currently under investigation because they are believed to have continued their criminal activity. These, rather than abandoning illicit activities, are believed to have instead increased their capacity for crime with a marked aptitude in managing criminal trafficking, using stratagems to try to elude possible investigative activities.
