On February 27, the State Police arrested a 51-year-old man of Moroccan origin for the crime of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
The Mobile Squad of the Novara Police Headquarters, during the usual operations to combat drug dealing in the area of the Novara railway station, noticed a subject who, on board his BMW, had quick meetings with subjects known to be drug users.
After several days of stakeout that allowed them to ascertain that the man, unemployed, was traveling about 150 km a day to meet dozens of people, in particular at the Novara train station and in the parking lots of the city's shopping centers: on February 27, the officers stopped him at his home in San Pietro Mosezzo, while he was hiding several doses of cocaine in the trunk of his car. The subsequent house search allowed them to find 40 grams of cocaine in addition to everything needed to package the doses of drugs.
At the end of the ritual formalities the man was arrested and taken to the Novara prison.
