A crew of the State Police of Novara, specifically of the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters, was sent from the local Operations Centre to the Emergency Room of the Maggiore della Carità Hospital, as the personnel in charge of surveillance and surveillance reported that an Italian man born in 1973 had attacked healthcare personnel. The crew then quickly went to the place. As soon as they arrived, the police found the man in an evidently altered state presumably due to the intake of alcoholic substances, who still maintained an aggressive and harassing conduct towards those present. It was learned that the man was accessing the Emergency Room, transported by volunteers from the basic rescue vehicle following an intervention requested by personnel from another law enforcement agency because, having been subjected to police control, he was already showing signs of strong agitation on the street.
During the stages of acceptance, man, firm in his angry and uncooperative conduct, he allegedly began to utter insulting phrases towards those present and then lunged at the triage worker, hitting her with a violent slap in the face. For the above, the attacker was immediately stopped by security personnel and accompanied outside the premises to await the arrival of the police.
For the above reasons, the man was accompanied to the police station for the drafting of the procedural documents and was reported under arrest for aggravated injuries for having caused them to a healthcare professional. He was then held in the security cells awaiting the summary trial. At the end of the validation hearing, the judicial authority validated the arrest and ordered the arrestee to be placed under house arrest.
