Novara: President of a football team under house arrest for money laundering. 200 thousand euros of illicit proceeds seized

In fact, thesudden growth of the football club, which began in 2020, together with an increasing expenditure of money and assets by the president of the football club, has raised the suspicions of the agents of the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters Novara which, with the support of the Section of Judicial Police rate Guardia di Finanza of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Novara, have begun to closely observe activities and movements.

It emerged that the company received numerous transfers from the president and other defendants who did not declare compatible income with what is provided and by various companies involved in bankruptcy and tax crimes.

Following the investigations carried out, precautionary measures were therefore ordered against the president with personal search e home, carried out in concert between the men of the Novara Police Headquarters and the Gallarate Financial Police.

Finally, fromCurrent account analysis and trade flows, the Guardia di Finanza has identified sums of approximately 200.000 € considered recycling proceeds for which he proposed it seizure, then carried out by the Guardia di Finanza on the current accounts of the football club and those of the president.

Furthermore, during the house search they were 3730 euros in cash seized, numerous foreign currency (US Dollars, Seychelles Rupee, Cuban Peso, Kenyan Shilling) using the “Ioltan” cash dog as well as a Rolex Daytona watch.

In addition to the president, there were investigated in a different capacity also 17 more people charged with financial crimes.
