Novara, State Police intensified checks: 36 expulsion orders were issued between October and November.

Over the months of October and November, Novara State Police has intensified control activities aimed at combating theirregular immigration.

The action, supported by a coordinated effort of various Police Headquarters offices, led to the adoption of 36 expulsion orders, highlighting constant attention to the safety of the provincial territory.

During the checks, three people were repatriated in their respective countries of origin, including Morocco and Türkiye.

A Moroccan citizen, at the end of the sentence served at the Novara prison, was transferred to the Repatriation Detention Center in Turin, while three Algerian citizens, already known to the police, were accompanied to the CPR of Rome and Gorizia awaiting repatriation.

They were also arranged reporting obligations to the Judicial Police against five people, a measure applied in view of theenforcement of forced repatriation at the border.

In parallel, ten foreign citizens without a criminal or police record have received an order to voluntarily leave the national territory: four have already complied, while one has joined the program of IOM Assisted Voluntary Repatriation, a United Nations body.

Per fourteen people It was not possible to proceed with immediate escort to the border due to the lack of documents suitable for expatriation. These individuals were notified of theOrder of the Quaestor of Novara to leave Italian territory within seven days.

The activity carried out confirms the role of the State Police in the surveillance and monitoring of phenomena related to irregular immigration, intervening with appropriate measures and promoting, where possible, voluntary return paths.

The operations will continue in the coming months, with the aim of ensuring legality, security and effective control of the territory.
