Novara, chaos at the Emergency Medical Service: 49-year-old man attacks three officers and is arrested.

In the evening of 6th December, At the Novara Medical Guard, a man of , resident in the city and already known to the police, was arrested by the State Police after three officers attacked intervened to quell a fight.

He will have to answer for the crimes of resistance to a public official, personal injury e interruption of public service.

The alarm went off around 22.40, when one of the doctors requested the intervention of the patrols reporting the presence of a patient in an evidently altered state, That was threatening healthcare workers.

According to the reconstruction, the 49-year-old reported himself to the medical guard demanding the delivery of two psychotropic drugs, without however possessing any valid medical prescriptionWhen the doctor refused, the man would have started to to shout and insult health workers, accusing them of not doing their job.

When the officers arrived, the situation immediately appeared very tense: the man he was constantly interrupting the doctors, he spoke in a very loud voice and he refused to leave the premises.

Despite attempts at mediation, the 49-year-old has continued to oppose, even reaching sit on a stretcher stating that he would remain there until he obtained the required drugs.

When officers tried to let him out peacefully, the 49-year-old broke down. approached with an aggressive attitude, repeatedly attempting physical contact.

At that point, after further failed attempts to calm him down, the police decided to proceed with containment devices.

That's when a fire broke out violent scuffle: the man began to to swing, push and kick, also overturning a desk with computer and telephone.

Three officers reported lesions with several days of prognosis.

Due to the riots, the activity of the Medical Guard has been temporarily suspended until the arrest.

The 49-year-old was then arrested red-handed for resistance to a public official, personal injury e interruption of public service.
