Sanremo is underway, the wait is over.

Twenty-nine songs in the competition, young voices and artists with decades of career and successes, all on the stage of the temple of Italian music: the Ariston Theatre.

"A Festival with a choral conduction and in the spirit of friendship: this is the Sanremo I imagined. A choral conduction made with fun and lightness. I like to remember a phrase that Ezio Bosso said on the Ariston stage before his performance in 2016: 'Music, like life, is made together'". So Carlo Conti talks about the 75th edition of the Italian Song Festival which, directed by Maurizio Pagnussat, will be broadcast from Tuesday 11 to Saturday 15 February on Rai 1, Rai Radio2, RaiPlay and Rai 4K, at number 210 of Tvsat.

All the singers will be accompanied by the Festival Orchestra, composed as always of professional musicians partly chosen by Rai and partly made available by the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra Foundation, and by vocalists.

On the first evening, the singers will bring a message of peace Noa, Israeli, and Mira Awad, Palestinian, who will propose their version of “Imagine” by John Lennon. There will also be a moment to pay homage to singers who have left their mark on Italian music: Iva Zanicchi and Antonello Venditti who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Until Saturday 15th February, Bianca Guaccero and Gabriele Corsi, host the daily strip from the glass box located right in front of the Ariston Theater in the “PrimaFestival” which returns for its ninth edition on Rai 1, to accompany the audience towards the 75th edition of the Sanremo Festival with a unique mix of show and entertainment. Joining them on the outside is the young Mariasole Pollio, ready to tell the Festival with an innovative and lively look and lots of energy. But there's more: the biting and modern comedy of “I Sansoni” – the Sicilian duo formed by Fabrizio and Federico – promises laughter with ironic pills on the backstage of the Festival.

The “After-Festival – Everyone is Watching Sanremo” will be hosted by Alessandro Cattelan supported by Selvaggia Lucarelli and Anna Dello Russo, always in the Glass Box.

A hot commentary of each evening with journalists, guest singers, live music by Street Clerks and the best and funniest content found on social media with the official hashtags of the Festival. And the playful prediction “SbancaSanremo” is also back. Rai Radio 2, the official radio station of the 2025 Festival, will have three key locations to bring listeners into the heart of the event: the Box in Piazza Borea d'Olmo, the OVS store in Via Matteotti and the Blue Room directly backstage at the Ariston, for exclusive interviews with the singers and to capture all the emotions in the moment, live. From 11 to 15 February, all the prime time evenings of Sanremo 2025 broadcast on Rai1 will be live on RaiPlay, also in 4K format, and the clips of all the songs and the most exciting moments on the Ariston stage will be published in real time on RaiPlay. RaiPlay viewers will also be able to follow live, or review in clip format, the interviews with singers and guests conducted by Ema Stokholma and Gino Castaldo in the studio of Visual Radio of Rai Radio2 in the backstage of the Ariston Theater. To create a direct line with viewers, RaiPlay from February 11 to 15 at 17.00:XNUMX p.m. will propose the original format “Conversazione – Sanremo Edition”: viewers will be able to call to speak with the protagonists of the event and find out all the curiosities of the Festival.

RaiPlay Sound will also follow the Festival: the five evenings and the hot interviews of Gino Castaldo and Ema Stokholma will be available live on Radio2, while the clips with the songs, guests and monologues will be available on demand. The platform will also feature special episodes of Radio Rai programmes and the new Rai Radio2 programme “Sanremo è sempre più blues”. There will also be lots of extra content on the history of the Festival: “Sanremo Story”, the podcast “Molto rumore per Sanremo” and “Radio Sanremo – Non solo brutte”.

Sanremo 75 will be told in an immersive choral way also on social media

The official accounts of the Festival (X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and the RaiPlay broadcast channel on WhatsApp), the social accounts of Rai1 and RaiPlay, Rai Radio2, Rai Ufficiale, Ufficio Stampa Rai, RaiPlay Sound, RaiNews and Rai Accessibilità will work together to spread the contents related to the event, all branded #Sanremo2025. Music unites beyond barriers and Sanremo renews its commitment to being truly inclusive. Rai Pubblica Utilità, in addition to subtitling, audio description and LIS translation on RaiPlay, will produce the daily strips “Sanremo Accessibile 2025 the day after… behind the scenes with interviews and curiosities” and “Sanremo 2025 the day after… details and curiosities”.

The stages

As is now tradition, the festival multiplies its stages and with them the possibility of listening to music, involving the city. In Piazza Colombo the Suzuki Stage will have as protagonists: Tuesday 11 Raf, Wednesday 12 Big Mama, Thursday 13 Ermal Meta, Friday 14 Benji & Fede and Saturday 15 Tedua. Already on Saturday 8 February on the stage, led by the hosts Jody Cecchetto and Mattia Stanga, the young artists of Area Sanremo and Urban Theory will perform. There will also be a floating stage on the large cruise ship Costa Toscana. On board an international level Italian dance-rock group: Planet Funk, who will play on the final evening to make it even more of a real party.
