Sanremo Festival, new proposals: “Settembre” wins, tonight is Cover night.

Settembre, 23 years old, from Naples, wins the Sanremo Festival 2025 in the New Proposals category.

On the Ariston stage he brought the song “Vertebre”, already a record listener with over 6 and a half million streams. In September, his debut at Sanremo is the realization of a dream with an autobiographical song that he defines as “a generational cry of denunciation”. Since he was a child he studied music and at 12 he made his TV debut with Io canto on Canale 5, then at 16 he participated in The Voice of Italy in Gigi D'Alessio's team. And if he has to imagine collaborating with someone for an all-Neapolitan music project, Settembre has no doubts: “Dico Liberato, Rocco Hunt, Geolier and La Niña”. In September also the Lucio Dalla Press Room Award.

The audience ratings for the third evening of the 2025 Festival There were 10 million 700 thousand viewers, with a share of 59.8 percent, who – according to the Total Audience released by Auditel – watched the third evening of the 75th Italian Song Festival.

The first part, from 21.24:23.30 pm to 13:700 pm, was watched by 60 million 23.35 thousand people with a 1.11% share. The second part, from 6:700 pm to 59.5:XNUMX am, by XNUMX million XNUMX thousand viewers, equal to XNUMX percent.

Sanremo Start, from 20.43pm to 21.19pm, had an audience of 12 million with a share of 900%.

The peak audience was at 21.30pm with 16 million, and the share at 22.49pm with 64.1 percent.

The third episode of Dopofestival, from 1.11 to 1.59, was watched by 2 million 100 thousand viewers with a 45.9 share.

The Prima Festival, from 20.32:20.42 pm to 9:100 pm, had an audience of 41 million 2025 thousand, with a XNUMX share. The Sanremo Festival XNUMX does not only reach the Italian public, but crosses borders with Rai Italia which proposes it to compatriots abroad and with foreign broadcasters that propose it live. In particular - with RaiCom - the Spanish Rtve broadcasts live the final evening of the Festival, also proposed - in the Ebu circuit - by the broadcasters Alrtv Radiotelevisioni Shqiptar (Albania), Rotvr Televiziunea Romana (Romania), Mdtrm Teleradio-Moldova (Moldova), Merctg Radiotelevizija Crne Gore (Montenegro), which also broadcast the other evenings.

Finally, all evenings will be broadcast on a delay, also in Canada by Rogers TV and Ici TV Quebec, with RaiCom.

Special guest Roberto Benigni will open the evening.

Co-hosting alongside Carlo Conti, Mahmood and Geppi Cucciari.

"I'm happy to be here with Geppi, I love her so much. Carlo told me to be spontaneous, I'm very excited, I'm really happy". So says Mahmood who will be on the Ariston stage tonight to co-host the Cover evening with Geppi Cucciari.

"What tension guys...", smiles Geppi Cucciari in the press room. "What look do I have? That mixture of joy, worry, anxiety, the desire not to disappoint those in front of me and myself".

Guests included Paolo Kessisoglu and his daughter Lunitta.

Benji & Fede will perform on the stage set up in Piazza Colombo.

The competition structure of the Fourth Evening (14.2.2025)

During the evening we will see each of the 29 competing Champions interpret – together with their guests or, another novelty for this edition, in pairs – a “Cover” chosen from the songs of the Italian and international repertoire and published by December 31st. All three juries will express their preferences, Televoting, Press Room Jury, TV and Web and Radio Jury with a percentage weight of 34%, 33% and 33% respectively.

The three voting systems will give rise to an “evening ranking”: the performance that comes in first place will be proclaimed the winner of the “Cover Evening”.
