"Steps on my head” is the burningly topical story of a group of Calabrian anarchists in the Chicago from the early 900s. On the stage, as in a sort of "Two-faced Janus”, overlap the theme of the generation that abandons today Calabria, with premises similar to those of the protagonists of the story, and the theme of migrants who, arriving on our coasts, encounter a climate similar to the one they found upon arrival in America our grandparents.
Tuesday 18 October at 18.30 pm, the evocative setting of theFort Petrazza amphitheater will host the dance show This is serious (Production Cie MF | Maxime & Francesco. Co-production East West Dance Festival, Gdansk Dance Festival). Direction, choreography and interpretation of Francesco Colaleo e Maxime Freixas.
This is serious (from the French, it's not serious), is a duet of contemporary dance and physical theater, which delves into the different meanings of the term gravity: from the gravitational fields of physics, which push us to design the performative space with a center towards which the forces tend, to the human-psychological condition of gravity, to be overcome through symbolic-choreographic writing that focuses on humor and "light" tones. The show was designed as an interactive system: the public is invited to build paper airplanes, then launch them on stage at their discretion in the "gravitational" space of the performers, lawfully breaking the intimate space of vision.
