Everything is ready for the international animated shorts festival 

Santa Teresa di Riva (ME), seventh edition of "Zabut".

The seventh edition of the festival presents 27 short films from 17 nations and registers a new entry in the world map Zabut: the Palestine.

This edition presents 11 Italian premieres and a world premiere. Various topics addressed, an opportunity to reflect and discuss important issues: the consumer society, the family and parent-child relationships, the world of work and its transformations, the risk of an apocalypse for the entire planet and seemingly more banal everyday life. And the "big" themes that are always present: war and the migration of peoples.

From 28 to 31 July the Unità d'Italia Park of Villa Crisafulli-Ragno in Santa Teresa di Riva (ME) will be transformed into a cinema under the stars.

The audience of the first three evenings will be asked to vote for the short films screened. During the fourth evening the following will be awarded: the "Zabut award" for the best short film of the 2022 edition, the "award for the best original soundtrack" and the "audience award".

The latter will be assigned by the audience of the fourth evening who will choose from the most voted shorts of the first three. In addition to the official Festival prizes, an external prize will also be awarded by the "Cinit-Cineforum Italiano" to the short film that "best represents the values ​​of solidarity and inclusion".

The final evening will feature guests Nico Bonomolo, who will present his latest work at the festival “Mistral”, winner of the David di Donatello 2022 as best Italian short film.
