Kidnapped by Marco Bellocchio collects one million euros.

A take of one million euros, this is the figure that "Kidnapped" by Marco Bellocchio reached in the second week of programming, fourth at the Box Office and first Italian takings with 1.065.451 euros after the blockbusters "The Little Mermaid", "Spider -Man: Across the Spider-Verse” and “Fast X”.
The director of 01 Distribution declares: “Marco Bellocchio and the actors are currently accompanying the film in Italian cinemas, warmly welcomed by a moved and participating audience, on a tour from North to South, from Rome to Bologna, from Milano in Turin, from Florence to Modena, from Parma to Naples and Bari, and will continue with various other cities waiting for him, from Genoa to Pordenone, from Treviso to Padua, from Catania to Messina and Palermo".

Directly from Cannes after 13 minutes of applause, the film has been in theaters since May 25th and distributed by 01 Distribution.
The film is an IBC Movie and Kavac Film production with Rai Cinema in co-production with Ad Vitam Production and The Match Factory, produced by Beppe Caschetto and Simone Gattoni.

The cast: Paolo Pierobon in the role of the Pontiff, Fausto Russo Alesi, Barbara Ronchi, Enea Sala (Edgardo Mortarada as a child), Leonardo Maltese (Edgardo as a boy) and with Filippo Timi and Fabrizio Gifuni. The cast is completed by Andrea Gherpelli, Samuele Teneggi, Corrado Invernizzi, Aurora Camatti, Paolo Calabresi, Bruno Cariello, Renato Sarti, Fabrizio Contri, Federica Fracassi.
History: “Kidnapped” focuses on the story of Edgardo Mortara, the Jewish child who in 1858 was taken from his family to be raised as a Catholic under the custody of Pope Pius IX, sparking an international case.
