Stranizza d'amuri: the directorial debut of Giuseppe Fiorello.

It arrives at the cinema from March 23rd Stranizza d'amuri, Giuseppe Fiorello's first feature film as director, produced by Iblafilm, Fenix Entertainment, Rai Cinema.

The Sicilian actor, screenwriter and producer brings to the theater a story of friendship and an undying, chaste and never forgotten love.

The baroque of the primordial, atavistic and impenetrable Sicilian land acts as a frame; between Noto, Marzamemi, Ferla, Buscemi, Priolo and Pachino.

Plot:

June 1982, in a hot Sicily that thrills for the national team at the football World Cup.

The protagonists of the story are two teenagers, Gianni and Nino, who collide with their respective scooters along a country road. From that moment a deep friendship was born, and perhaps something more. Their bond is frowned upon by their families and the town. Courageous and hungry for life, the two boys do not care about prejudices and judgements, living freely. A fresh, clean, uncontaminated, honest freedom that others do not understand and do not accept.

The debut director, Giuseppe Fiorello, wanted to dedicate the film to Giorgio and Antonio, victims of the Giarre crime, which occurred in 1980 in the province of Catania. But the tributes are not over, Stranizza d'amuri is also a song by Franco Battiato and the title is actually a look of affection aimed at the music of the Sicilian singer-songwriter.

Cast:

Gabriele Pizzurro, Samuele Segreto, Fabrizia Sacchi, Simona Malato, Enrico Roccaforte, Antonio De Matteo, Roberto Salemi, Giuseppe Spata, Anita Pomario, Alessio Simonetti, Raffaele Cordiano, Giuditta Vasile.
