The mystery of the message on the ballot paper: there is a body! And now we are excavating in Villasanta
«For the police. I killed a man. He is buried in the north area construction site. Give him a Christian burial, please."
The mystery of the message on the ballot paper: there is a body! And now we are excavating in Villasanta.
This cryptic writing found during the counting of the last political elections in September in an urn in Villasanta, made with a tracing pencil, could correspond to a hidden truth and not to the work of a mythomaniac. The men of the Monza Police Headquarters are now convinced of this and, having been involved by the mayor of the Brianza area himself, had started an investigation.
To tell the truth, the search for the anonymous murderer should not be difficult given that there are two important clues: he is certainly a resident of Villasanta having voted in that municipality and his fingerprint has also been isolated. So the research began and the identification of some characters who may have started to make some admissions.
Meanwhile, the Monza Prosecutor's Office has opened a case for voluntary homicide and concealment of a corpse. The point is that what fuels the suspense is a second note found by the investigators, with different handwriting: “I know you killed a man, they'll get you anyway.” A message that would have been found in the basement of a condominium near a ruined building also in Villasanta, where last Thursday the Mobile policemen, a botany expert and Diominique Salsarola, famous forensic archaeologist of the Labanof, the forensic anthropology laboratory of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Milano, they carried out an initial inspection.
On 20 January 2023, reconnaissance was carried out in the northern part of the town, affected by the famous lot of the former Lombarda Petroli, a sort of eco-monster intended first as a hotel for Expo 2015. The policemen climbed onto the roof to scrutinize the vegetation below for of possible loose areas of ground where… the corpse could be found! As long as it's not a joke in bad taste. But we don't believe it.
