In Modena 128 students for the future of Europe: the Model European Parliament is underway.

It will start 17 March a Modena la XXII Regional Session of the Model European Parliament (MEP), involving 128 students of high schools in Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany. For five days, until 21 March, the participants will simulate the work of the European Parliament, addressing issues crucial to the future of the Union.

The event, organized by MEP Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany Committee, is made in collaboration with Europe Direct Modena and enjoys the patronage of Municipality of Modena and the Emilia-Romagna Region.

Students will work in eight thematic commissions, covering topics such as European competitiveness according to the Draghi report, right to disconnect in the digital age, The impact of Fentanyl on public health e the protection of beesThe goal will be draft concrete resolutions to be discussed and voted on in the final Plenary.

The MEP, active for over 25 years, is a project that promotes active citizenship, democratic debate and development of transversal skills, such as critical thinking and teamwork.

The works will take place in prestigious locations of Modena il 17 18 and March, including the Europa Gallery, San Carlo High School and the Museum Palace, while the session will end on March 21st in Bologna, With the 'Plenary Assembly in the Multipurpose Hall of the Legislative Assembly of the Emilia-Romagna Region.

Schools from Modena, Carpi, Ferrara, Reggio Emilia and Prato will participate, with students supported by committee presidents, expert students and an organizational team composed of high school and university students.
