The city promotes two projects for the diffusion of sporting fairness: "SportBoard" and "I play fair".

Sport: Modena adheres to the Region's ethical charter to promote inclusiveness and loyalty on the playing field.

Lo sport including educational and inclusive opportunity, to be practiced with loyalty, honesty and solidarity, avoiding harmful behavior and exasperation. These are some principles of Ethical charter of sport of the Emilia-Romagna Region, which now also joins Municipality of Modena, in continuity and coherence with some projects already active in the area, aimed at legality and the sporting fairness among young people. Adherence to the document also provides that the signatory entities can benefit from some prizes in regional tenders for the concessions of contributions and other forms of support in favor of sports practice. Launched in 2022 for say no to all forms of discrimination, violence and other illegal acts in the sporting field, the Charter is made up of 14 articles aimed at all those who, in various capacities, participate in the diffusion of physical activity and sport in Emilia-Romagna.

From athletes and practitioners to sports clubs, from parents and schools to public administrations, the document defines a perimeter within which each member is called upon to respect and promote a code of conduct that protects the social value of sporting practice, enhancing integration and relationships between people and therefore rejecting any form of excessive individualism and exasperated spirit of competition. The Charter also provides, in fact, the commitment of public administrations in ensuring its citizens the possibility of practicing physical and sporting activity, facilitating it accessibility and inclusion, and strengthening urban spaces for physical activity, especially for younger people. “Adhere to the ethical charter of sport – specified theCouncilor for Sport and Equal Opportunities Grazia Baracchi – it means taking another step towards full sharing with sports clubs, facility managers and citizens, so that the city spaces dedicated to sports activities, such as gyms, swimming pools, sports fields, are always more inclusive, open to everyone, and capable of transmitting the most authentic values of sport".

In the ethical, cultural and social horizon traced by the Charter, there are two projects in particular which see the commitment of the Municipality of Modena to the diffusion of sporting legality and fairness among young people. The first is SportBoard, international project that also involves the Anderlini volleyball school sports club within the “Erasmus+ Sport” programme. The project, which enters its operational phase in September, aims to improve the management of sporting activities, monitoring behavior on the fields, in the gyms and in the changing rooms, and therefore providing the tools for effective self-regulation of sporting realities. The second activity is “I play fair”, which aims to prevention of bad behavior and the promotion of respect for rules and the valorization of diversity. Developed for primary schools, as part of the Scuola Sport project, "Io giococorrect" provides educational courses in which teachers and experts present games in which students alternate in the roles of refereeing and self-refereeing, relating to previously developed rules in the classroom.
