Modena. Mayor Muzzarelli welcomes the Chief of General Staff of the Army Corps Carmine Masiello to the Town Hall.

“In this difficult historical moment marked by international tensions and wars that threaten the stability of Europe, your presence is important to maintain balance and peace”, said the mayor Gian Carlo Muzzarelli welcoming the Chief of General Staff of the Army Corps Carmine Masiello to the Town Hall visiting Modena accompanied by the Commander of the Military Academy, General of the Division Davide Scalabrin.

The meeting, which took place on the afternoon of Monday 8 April, was a welcome opportunity for Mayor Muzzarelli to sincerely thank, also on behalf of the entire Modena community, the Chief of Staff and, together with him, all the women and men of the Italian Army engaged on the most complex fronts of the international scene, as well as in the garrison of the territory alongside the forces of law and order and the local police.

“Your young students, endowed with remarkable abilities and a great sense of balance, are fundamental resources for the future of this country and this Europe which we must all commit ourselves to keeping united”, Mayor Muzzarelli finally underlined paying homage to the Chief of Staff with a bottle of balsamic from the municipal vinegar factory and with a copy of the photographic volume “Effetto Moden” by Franco Fontana.

The Army Corps Chief of Staff General Carmine Masiello has addressed the mayor delivered the crest of the Italian Army with the heraldic coat of arms of the Armed Forces.
