Operation "DELIVERY": 2 anarchists arrested for terrorist act involving explosive devices in Pisa.

Il State Police personnel, coordinated by Prosecutor's Office, under theOperation “DELIVERY”, executed a two precautionary measures towards as many subjects belonging to thePisan anarchist areaThe crime charged is “act of terrorism with deadly or explosive devices”.

The facts date back to February 2023, when staff of the DIGOS intervened at the Court of Pisa following the reporting of the presence of a potentially explosive artifact, near the service door of the Palace. Theincendiary device, found partially burnt, was made up of:

• a plastic bottle containing flammable liquid,

• a butane gas camping canister,

• un firecracker with filament as fuse.

A few days after the attack, a document signed by the anarchist group was published on the anarchist websites. Revolutionary Solidarity Group – Home Deliveries (Fai/Fri), with which it came the action was claimed, part of a campaign of attack on the institutions, in solidarity with the anarchist Alfredo Cospito.

The gesture was described as terrorist act for the choice of symbolic place (the Court) and for the conduct of the suspects, capable of intimidate the population and undermine confidence in the state.

The investigation activity, conducted by the Digos of Pisa and Florence and Central Directorate of Prevention Police, has allowed the identification of those responsible. Two anarchists were subjected to the precautionary custody of house arrest, while for four other associates the tests were carried out searches between the provinces of La Spezia and Massa Carrara.

The provision summarizes the results of the investigation launched in 2023, which – for the aspects concerning the claim also in foreign countries – involved Eurojust and French Intelligence Department. The Preliminary Investigation Judge, by applying house arrest, wanted to give an answer to the gravity of the facts, propensity of the suspects to continue the fight and the need for sever ties with anarchist-insurrectionist circles, preventing the risk of criminal repetition.
