The arrest was carried out by the Carabinieri of the local station in the early afternoon yesterday, when the man was stopped while driving a car. The impatience shown by the arrested person during the identification process aroused the suspicions of the military, who decided to further investigate with a search on the spot. The operation allowed them to discover, hidden under the car seat, approximately 100 grams of marijuana and over a kilogram of hashish, Divided into 10 bricks. In an attempt to disguise the contents, the alleged pusher had wrapped the drugs in packages with the label of a well-known chocolate brand.

The man was taken to the barracks under arrest and subsequently transferred to the Messina Gazzi prison, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority. The seized drugs were delivered to the Carabinieri of the RIS of Messina for laboratory analyses.
