Taormina: they offer a lift to a woman they met in a nightclub and rob her, 3 arrests.

The Carabinieri of the Taormina Company have arrested three individuals, a 25-year-old from Milan and two foreign citizens aged 21 and 26, all with criminal records, believed to be responsible for having attacked and robbed a young woman, resident in Northern Italy, met during an evening spent in a night club of Catania.

With a phone call to the emergency number 112, it was the woman herself who alerted the Carabinieri who, having intervened at the reported location, started an investigative activity which, on the basis of the statements made by the victim and also thanks to the analysis of the footage extracted from the video surveillance systems of the area, made it possible to document the dynamics of the criminal action and trace the identity of those responsible.

According to the reconstruction of the military of the Arma, the woman, at the end of an evening spent in a nightclub in Catania, accepted a lift in their car offered by the three criminals who, upon arrival at a B & B in Giardini Naxos, where they were staying, attacked her and robbed her of her mobile phone and the sum of 160 euros in cash, also causing her injuries.

The three alleged perpetrators were tracked down and arrested by the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Taormina Company on charges of robbery and personal injury and are now being held in the Messina Gazzi prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
