Messina: under house arrest with cocaine hidden among food in the kitchen, 49-year-old arrested

The Carabinieri of the Messina Sud Company arrested, in flagrante delicto, a 49-year-old criminal from Messina, for the crime of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

The events began when a patrol from the Messina Gazzi Station Command went – ​​for a check – at the home of the man, subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest for crimes related to drug dealing. During the operations, the soldiers noticed an intolerant attitude in the man and, therefore, decided to further investigate by carrying out a house search.

In a kitchen cupboard, among spices and other foods, the Carabinieri found and seized a package containing over 30 grams of cocaine.

The man was then arrested and, by order of the Judicial Authority, placed under house arrest pending trial. The seized drugs were handed over to the Carabinieri of the RIS of Messina for the relevant laboratory analyses.
