The project “ is in full swingAdventures in the Film Library” promoted byCineforum Orione Cultural Association in partnership with Arknoah Association, Municipality of Messina and University of Messina and hosted at Cinema Lux.
The initiative takes place within the framework of the National Plan Cinema and Images for Schools promoted by Ministry of Culture and from Ministry of Education and Merit.
After the success of the first edition, culminating with the production of a short film then selected to Giffoni Festival, the project embraces a network of schools which includes the city's comprehensive institutes "San Francesco di Paola", "Paino – Gravitelli" and "Manzoni – Dina e Clarenza", and the IC "Stefano D'arrigo" of Alì Terme.
"Adventures in the Film Library“, coordinated by the OEV trainer Francesco Torre under the supervision of the scientific director Nino Genovese, proposes to the over 400 students benefit from a theoretical-practical path in the History and stories of cinema, an exploratory journey among the authors, techniques, stars and protagonists of the seventh art, with particular attention to the cinematographic language and its functions and a focus dedicated to the main pre-cinema tools.
They are scheduled practical laboratories dedicated to the construction of optical instruments and to Reproduction of images on film, guided viewings in cinema of sequences taken from films that have marked the main stages in the history of cinema and the reproduction of a film set that will allow the remake of a sequence that is symbolic of the history of world cinema.
These training activities are currently being carried out at San Francesco di Paola, will then start the Paino – Gravitelli and the Stephen D'Arrigo of Alì Terme, to then reach the student population of theManzoni Institute.
At the end of the educational path, also to monitor the achievement of the educational objectives, children will be invited to Cinema Lux to participate in a team game to put the main events, characters, and films back in the correct order along the timeline.
