Messina, Carabinieri anti-drug checks: one arrest, one complaint and seven young people reported

Last weekend, the Carabinieri of the Messina Centro Company, through the use of various patrols, located throughout the territory of competence, have prepared a wide anti-drug activity, implemented with multiple checks and searches, which led to thearrest of a 23-year-old, already known to the police, and the referral of another individual, both considered responsible for the crime of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

The arrest was carried out by the Carabinieri of the Messina Giostra Station who, as part of the checks aimed at controlling individuals subjected to restrictive measures of personal freedom, showed up at the door of home of a 23-year-old, placed under house arrest even for drug-related crimes. The young man, at the sight of the soldiers, allegedly tried to get rid of over 8 grams of cocaine and crack, already divided into doses, throwing it out of the window together with 300 euros in cash, a precision scale and various packaging material that the Carabinieri, well positioned, recovered and seized. Once the investigations have been completed, the 23 year old was therefore arrested and placed under house arrest at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

During the service, the Carabinieri of the Camaro Station instead They searched the home of a young man, inside which they found and seized over 15 grams of marijuana, already divided into doses, which is why they proceeded against him, reporting it to the Judicial Authority.

Finally, seven young people aged between 21 and 36, were reported to the Prefecture of Messina as drug users, as they were found in possession of over 30 grams of drugs, including marijuana, hashish and crack

All the seized drugs were handed over to the Carabinieri of the RIS of Messina for the relevant laboratory analyses.
