Anti-drug operation in Santo Stefano di Camastra: precautionary measures for four suspects.

In the last few days the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Company of Santo Stefano di Camastrathey executed an order issued by the investigating judge of the Patti Court, Dr. Andrea La Spada, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigations: an organised structure at the centre of the illicit activity

The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Stefano Company between April and July 2024, has allowed us to reconstruct a complex picture thanks to technical activities, observations, monitoring services and investigative checks, all coordinated by the Patti Prosecutor's Office. The investigations have brought to light a criminal association composed of the four suspects, capable of managing a distribution network of cocaine and hashish in the territory of Santo Stefano di Camastra.

According to what has been reconstructed, the 53enne — a central figure of the group — would have had a direct role in the supply of drugs, going together with the 20enne a Palermo to purchase the substances then destined for dealing. The Carabinieri managed to document several episodes of transfer of the drug to local consumers and those in the surrounding areas, confirming the continuity of the illicit activity.

The elements collected allowed the judicial authorities to issue precautionary measures aimed at disrupting the group's operations.

The seriousness of the evidence led the investigating judge to deem the restrictions necessary to protect the community and prevent the continuation of the contested conduct.
