Messina: Extraordinary anti-drug checks in Lipari and Salina. The Carabinieri arrest a pusher and report 3 other people

On the weekend, at Lipari e Salina, Carabinieri of the Company from Milazzo, with the support of the drug-sniffing dogs of the Carabinieri Dog Units of Nicolosi and Villagrazia di Palermo, have carried out a wide-ranging control activity, aimed at curbing drug trafficking, implemented with various checks and searches which led to thearrest flagrantly of a 32 year old, referral of 35 year old brother cohabitant, as well as to the complaint – in a state of freedom – of a 23 year old and a 27 year old, all presumed responsible for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.

In 'home of the two brothers, the military of the Arma found and 4 packages seized containing more than 50 grams of hashish, skillfully hidden inside electrical outlets of the kitchen area, which were discovered thanks to the drug-sniffing dog's sense of smell.

They were also found and two more doses seized of the same narcotic substance found in the bedroom, together with a precision balance soaked in drug residue.

Furthermore, during the searches carried out at the homes of the 23-year-old and the 27-year-old, the Carabinieri found and seized several grams of drugs of the type hashish and marijuana, as well as various materials presumably used for packaging the drug, which is why referral of the two individuals.

Finally, a healthier skin was reported to the Prefecture of Messina which drug user, as he was found in possession of a small quantity of narcotics for personal use.

The drugs found during the activities were seized and handed over to the Messina RIS Carabinieri for the relevant laboratory analyses.

Through the programming of specific anti-drug services, coordinated, in synergy, with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, led by the Chief Prosecutor Giuseppe Verzera, particularly attentive to prosecuting such crimes, the Carabinieri of the Company from Milazzo, will continue to operate throughout the territory of competence, both with activities aimed at dissuading criminals from committing crimes connected to the sale of narcotics, and through meetings in schools of all levels, functional to sharing the risks connected to the use of psychotropic substances, in the context of initiatives to spread the culture of legality promoted byArms of the Carabinieri.
