Matera, 2 men subjected to a ban on approach for mistreatment in the family

The Carabinieri of the Policoro Company in recent days they notified two orders prohibiting a 41-year-old from approaching the injured party with the application of the "electronic bracelet" from Policoro and a 32 year old from Scanzano Jonico both held responsible for mistreatment within the family and personal injury towards their wife even in the presence of minor children.

The measures arise from two separate activities launched by the military following complaints filed by the victims at the Carabinieri Station of Policoro in which they expressed their concerns about repeated episodes of threats, insults and beatings received from their spouse during their cohabitation and perpetrated even in the presence of minor children. The first suspect, moreover, despite the subsequent separation, he would then continue to carry out stalking acts through harassing, annoying and persecutory conduct, consisting of repeated and incessant attempts to make telephone contact, including through the intermediation of third parties.

The investigations promptly started by the Carabinieri, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Matera, allowed them to gather serious evidence of guilt against the two suspects. Therefore, the Preliminary Investigation Judge agreeing with the investigative evidence brought to his attention by the Public Prosecutor, issued precautionary measures, prohibiting the suspects from approaching the places frequented by the victim, with the application of electronic control (so-called "electronic bracelet"). The collaboration of the victim, who placed her total trust in the institutions, was fundamental for the repressive activity carried out by the Carabinieri under the direction of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Matera.
