Bernalda: an arrest and a complaint for cocaine dealing
The Carabinieri found 42 grams of cocaine and arrested a man: another criminal was also in the house, reported for complicity.

In recent days at Bernalda the Carabinieri of the local Station, with the help of colleagues from the Operational Unit of the Pisticci Company, from the Stations of Ferrandina and Metaponto, and with the contribution of colleagues from the Dog Unit of Tito (PZ), during a service prepared for prevent and combat the phenomenon of drug dealing, they drew in arrest a local 30 year old, already burdened by a criminal record.
The operation started over the weekend, late in the evening: the Carabinieri, after having kept an eye on an apartment at the disposal of the man and subject of several reports on the part of the citizens who had noticed a strange and constant coming and going of subjects from the house, they first verified that the reports were actually reliable, and then waited for the right moment to intervene: the delivery of a dose of cocaine.

Once the exchange had taken place, the military immediately intervened, blocking both the person who sold the drug (later discovered to be cocaine) and the person who purchased it, also recovering the money used to pay for it, for a total of 30 euros.
Having immobilised the two, the soldiers entered the apartment where, guided by their nose, blacks, the four-legged colleague, they found other cocaine, partly already packaged in doses, for a total of 42 grams, as well as 2 precision digital electronic scales and various materials for packaging the doses.
In addition to the drugs and packaging material, there was also a third person, a 39 year old local man he too already had a criminal record.
In the end, in agreement with the Judicial Authority, the person who gave up the dose was arrested for the crime of detention for the purposes of trafficking of narcotic substance and restricted, under the regime of arrest, at his home, while the second subject was reported at liberty on charges of complicity in the crime with the first, and the buyer – a 44-year-old local – was eventually reported to the Prefecture of Matera as a drug user.
