Roverbella: Carabinieri chase suspicious car that crashes into parked car, one person arrested.

The Carabinieri of the Roverbella Station during a wide-ranging patrol, as ordered by the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Mantua, Colonel Vincenzo Di Stefano, aimed at countering the phenomenon of home burglaries, positioned themselves in a secluded area specifically to monitor the transit of cars and suspicious people, taking advantage of the last rays of sunshine of the day.

The military thus intercepted a suspicious car with 3 people on board that, at the Carabinieri's stop, took off in a hasty escape. Thus began a daring chase that ended, after having faced several roundabouts in the wrong direction, in via Garibaldi in the municipality of Porto Mantovano. The fleeing car ended its crazy and desperate race, colliding with a regularly parked car.

The Carabinieri of Roverbella managed to immobilize the driver of the vehicle, while his two accomplices managed to disappear into the surrounding streets.
The driver of the getaway car put up a strong resistance to the operating soldiers, who with difficulty managed to handcuff the suspect and then accompany him to the barracks for the necessary checks.
Numerous citizens were present at the scene and, after having witnessed the securing of the agitated man, they applauded the Carabinieri with admiration for the success of the operation, thus demonstrating their esteem and closeness to the force, ensuring that the operating soldiers received the right reward.
The car used by the trio, rented but never returned, was seized.
The arrested person, a 25 year old foreigner resident in Milano, was thus declared under arrest for the crime of resisting a public official, and held in the security cells of the Arma awaiting the hearing for summary proceedings, held on the morning of Thursday 21 November. The judge, after having validated the arrest carried out legitimately by the Carabinieri of the Roverbella Station, ordered the release of the arrested person, applying to the subject the measure of the prohibition of returning to the province of Mantua.
