Asola (Mantua), breakthrough in investigations into shooting in bus. Minor arrested

In the early afternoon of November 22, in Asola (Mantua), inside a bus, an unpleasant episode occurred between two minors: one of them, after having handled a weapon, fired a shot hitting the other minor, causing serious injuries inside the mouth and in the jaw area.

The intense investigations conducted by the Carabinieri of the Asola Station, who intervened at the crime scene, allowed the entire incident to be reconstructed in detail.

The wounded boy, first helped by his friends, was then transported to the civil hospital of Mantua. Already immediately after the medical checks it was understood that the large wound and the strong trauma in the mouth had most likely been caused by a bullet fired from a firearm.

The doubt became reality when the wounded boy, undergoing surgery at the Mantua hospital, had the nose cone of a small caliber bullet removed that had remained lodged between his tongue and jaw, also causing the breaking of a couple of teeth in addition to the fracture of his jaw.
The Carabinieri of the Asola Station, assisted by their colleagues from the Operative and Radiomobile Unit of the Castiglione delle Stiviere Company, have continuously combed, for several days, the public parks and gardens present, thanks also to the use of various metal detectors, as well as the banks of the Chiese river, the place where the weapon was supposedly thrown by the perpetrator of the crime.

The investigations carried out by the military, coordinated immediately by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Brescia, they allowed us to reconstruct the criminal action in detail and temporally, reporting a minor for having caused serious injuries to another minor, aggravated by the fact of having used a firearm.
In the days following the event, the Carabinieri of the Asola Station shared all the investigative findings with the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Brescia, collecting numerous and serious evidence against the minor who had already been reported.

The Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Juvenile Court of Brescia, sharing the accusatory hypotheses of the Prosecutor's Office, issued an order applying the precautionary measure of custody in prison against the previously investigated minor, responsible in the accusatory hypothesis, of having caused serious personal injuries to another minor.
The arrested man, after completing the formal procedures, was taken to the “Beccaria” juvenile prison in Milano, where it will remain at the disposal of the Juvenile Judicial Authority.

The Carabinieri of the Asola Station, during the execution of the restrictive measure, were informed by the arrested person of the place where he would dispose of the murder weapon, that is, thrown into the Oglio river in the municipality of Canneto sull'Oglio. The Genoa Carabinieri Underwater Unit was thus activated and, once they arrived on site, they began combing the riverbed where the weapon was supposedly thrown. With no small amount of effort, the alleged murder weapon, a 6,35 caliber Beretta pistol, was recovered and promptly seized. The firearm and the bullet extracted from the wounded man will be sent, in the coming days, to the Carabinieri RIS in Parma for the appropriate ballistic investigations.
