Gonzaga (Mantua), mistreatment in the family. The Carabinieri arrest 19-year-old

On the night of Monday 28 October, the Carabinieri of the Gonzaga Station, with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Mantua, they arrested, almost in the act, a 19-year-old local man because he was considered responsible, according to the accusation, for mistreatment towards family members.

In fact, shortly before the intervention of the Carabinieri, the young man allegedly attacked and beat up his parents, for trivial reasons, inside the home they share. The two, promptly rescued by the 118 personnel, were treated on the spot because both had evident signs of bruises and abrasions.

Thanks to the timely intervention of the Carabinieri, who immediately activated the "red code" procedure, worse consequences for the parents could be avoided since, in silence, the abuse had been going on for over two years, sometimes even in the presence of the arrested man's minor brother.

The arrested person, once the formal procedures had been completed, was transferred to the Mantua District Prison, at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority pending the validation hearing. On 31.10.2024/XNUMX/XNUMX, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, the Preliminary Investigations Judge at the Court of Mantua validated the arrest and ordered the application of the measure of removal from the family home and prohibition of approaching the parents.
