Mantua: The extraordinary control operations “Vivi Mantova 2” continue: narcotic substance discovered and security increased.

La State Police continues, incessant, the activities of prevention e repression of the criminal phenomena that occur in some specific areas of the urban context of the city and of the neighbouring municipalities; in particular, the dealing of narcotic substances, the property crime (mostly apartment thefts and in commercial businesses), the contrast of which represents a primary objective of the State Police.

In this perspective, therefore, yesterday the extraordinary control operations of the territory called “Live Mantua 2“, arranged by the Police Chief of Mantua, on the basis of the directives that emerged in Committee for Public Order and Security chaired by Prefect of the province of Mantua, in order to adequately combat the crimes that cause the greatest social alarm and, at the same time, to increase the presence , visibility of the Police Forces on the territory, making the perception of safety by citizens more immediate.

During these police activities – carried out with the help of personnel from the Mantua Police Headquarters, from the Crime Prevention Department di Reggio Emilia, dog unit coming from the Police Headquarters of Padua and the Local Police of Mantua – targeted checks were carried out in the areas of the historic center of the Municipality of Mantua, in the first outskirts And in the Neighboring municipalities, with particular attention to “Viola” Gardens – Lungorioin Cavallotti Square, To “Cloud” gardens, To Gardens of Viale Piavein Don Leoni Square, in Lunetta district, in Citadel district and in Borgo Angeli district.

During the aforementioned services, special attention was paid to those areas where there is usually the presence of subjects dedicated to thefts in commercial establishments and parked car, as well as in those reported as places of drug dealing activities.

In this regard, at the Cloud Gardens, with the decisive help of thedog unit coming from Padua, were found, hidden by unknown persons in a park basket, some cellophane wrappers containing 46,50 grams of narcotic substance, type cannabis, as a result of subsequent analyses carried out by the Scientific Police of Mantua.
