Mantua: A bar closed, 3 young people reported to the Prefecture as drug users and an order to leave was issued

In the afternoon of 13 February the military, within the framework of the shared services agreed upon by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, chaired by the Prefect of the province of Mantua, Dr. Roberto Bolognesi, carried out a coordinated territory control service aimed at the safety of urban areas and the fight against every form of illegality, in order to increase citizens' perception of safety.

The service in question was performed by 4 patrols of the Carabinieri both in uniform and in civilian clothes, with the help of some crews of the Local Police of Mantua.

The attention of the Carabinieri was particularly concentrated on Lunetta district, as well as in the central Ferri Gallery and in '“Esselunga” shopping area.

They have been a total of 25 people were monitoredThree young people, a 30-year-old, a 27-year-old and a 16-year-old, were reported to the local Prefecture as drug users, as they were found in possession of a total of almost 5 grams of hashish.

The Carabinieri have issued a administrative penalty for manifest drunkenness notifying the same at the same time48-hour stay-at-home order for public safety reasons against a 35-year-old Nigerian, from the area between the Nuvolari gardens and the “Esselunga” area. This measure falls within the urban DASPO regulations.

The Radiomobile Section of the Mantua Company has proceeded to notify a 56-year-old Chinese man resident in Mantua, as owner of a bar located in via Fiume, the ordinance of suspension of license for 10 days pursuant to art. 100 of the TULPS

The provision, issued by the Police Chief of Mantua on the proposal of the Carabinieri, was issued following the investigation into thehabitual presence of criminals and dangerous people inside the bar. Specifically, the Carabinieri of Mantua, assisted by the local police, on several occasions found people in possession of narcotic substances and noted the presence of drunk people.

It is worth highlighting that a similar measure had been adopted last September with the suspension of the license for 3 days.
The provision for the suspension of the license (art. 100 TULPS) does not have a sanctioning nature: it is a preventive measure, intended to protect the public order and safety of citizens.

The territorial control services will continue in the next few days in the city parks and in places where young people gather, in order to prevent and possibly repress the use and dealing of narcotic substances, as well as to monitor illegal aliens in order to activate the expected expulsion procedures, in order to guarantee greater safety for citizens.

Similar services will also be carried out in the province of Mantua, in order to prevent the commission of crimes and to make the territory outside the large inhabited centers safer, considering that the Arma is in contact with the people thanks to its widespread presence on the territory with the Carabinieri Stations.
