Tolentino: Egyptian workers reported for brawling.

The Carabinieri of the Tolentino Operational and Radiomobile Unit reported two Egyptian citizens, with regular residence permits, for brawling and carrying weapons or objects capable of causing offence.

The events date back to the evening of September 4th in the city center in Piazzale Europa. Following reports from some residents to the single European emergency number 112 of a fight between several men, the military of the radiomobile unit and the military of the Tolentino and Caldarola stations who intervened on the scene did not find anyone.

The investigations conducted, also through the use of video surveillance footage and the comparison of images as well as the questioning of witnesses, allowed the Tolentino Police to identify and track down the first two foreigners, who were armed with knives during the fight and who reside respectively in Milano and in the Ferrara area.

Further investigations are underway to identify the other six compatriots involved in the incident, also employees of the same construction company reported.

The construction company is currently working in the area on post-earthquake reconstruction and the reasons for the fight are attributable to internal disagreements among the workers themselves.
