Monte San Giusto: Non-existent RCA policy, teacher defrauded by fake insurance broker 22-year-old from Castel Volturno, reported.
The military personnel of the Monte San Giusto station, following a complaint filed by a 48-year-old local teacher, reported a 22-year-old from Castel Volturno for fraud.
The Montesangiustese, in February 2024, while she was searching online for a new RCA policy for her car, was contacted by a self-styled “Insurance Broker” who offered her good conditions with a well-known “On-line” insurance company.
The woman, after paying the sum of €224,00, received the RCA insurance certificate electronically from the broker.
The following July, on the occasion of the semester deadline, the teacher learned, by calling the toll-free number found on the insurance company's policy, that the policy she was the holder of did not exist.
The investigations carried out at 360 degrees, from the Monte San Giusto Station, have allowed to reach the identification of the 22 year old from Castel Volturo who has been reported.
The young man had the total sum of €152,29 blocked and recovered from the two current accounts he owns.
