Macerata: He publishes a video of an armed man on social media, reported thanks to a Youpol tip.

All Operations Room of the Macerata Police Headquarters has arrived, through the platform Youpol, a report regarding a video posted on social media. The footage showed a person firing gunshots on a public road in the province of Macerata.

Following investigations carried out by the police of the Flying Squad, the subject has been identified and traced. It is a twenty year old of foreign origins, a criminal and resident in the province, who admitted being the person filmed in the video and having fired the shots in the air using a blank gun.

A check was then carried out house search aimed at searching for weapons and explosives, which however gave negative results.

At the end of the investigative activity, the young man was reported for caused alarm to the Judicial Authority, as his conduct has generated social alarm through the spread of the video on social networks, in which he was handling a weapon.

This operation was possible thanks to the sense of responsibility and the collaboration of citizens, who used the State Police application called Youpol to make the report.
