Macerata: ANAC approves the tender for the new hospital

The Marche Region receives the green light from ANAC for the design of the new hospital in Macerata, a decisive step towards the creation of a modern and technologically advanced healthcare facility.

Macerata: ANAC approves the tender for the new hospital.

Green light from ANAC – National Anti-Corruption Authority – to the Marche Region for the conclusion of the European tender procedure for the final award of the design services for the new hospital complex of the Municipality of Macerata to the newly formed Temporary Grouping of Professionals (RTP) led by the agent MNR Progetti Srl. This is a fundamental step for the definitive awarding of the works which will be followed by the signing of the contract.

The contractual deadline for the drafting of the technical and economic feasibility project, including the safety coordination service during the design phase, it is expected within 120 (one hundred and twenty) days from the signing of the contract.

"IThe green light from Anac on the final awarding of the design of the new hospital structure in Macerata represents a further and important step forward in the path we have started – declares the president of the Marche Region, Francesco Acquaroli -. The city of Macerata, its district and the entire province need a modern and cutting-edge structure, we are working step by step to achieve this goal together with the implementation of the Health Reform which with the company acts will enter the implementation phase".

"With the new hospital, which will be built in La Pieve, a strategic project for the health system of the Marche region and for the Macerata area is taking shape – highlights the vice president and health councillor of the Marche Region, Filippo Saltamartini – We are creating a modern and technologically advanced structure, a first-level health facility with second-level specializations, which will allow us to make a leap in quality in increasingly advanced, efficient and citizen-friendly healthcare. This result is the fruit of the Region's commitment to improving care and strengthening the health network.".

"The project for the new hospital in Macerata – underlines the councilor for Infrastructure and Public Works Francesco Baldelli, who has the delegation for Health and Hospital Construction – involves the construction of a facility with 379 beds, ready, in case of emergency, to increase to 434. Great flexibility, on the one hand, and on the other hand, great attention to the use of innovative architectural techniques, inspired by the principles of the so-called 'Architecture of well-being'. Spaces designed to improve the quality of work of doctors and healthcare workers, and to create a welcoming environment for patients and their families. Together with my colleague Saltamartini, we are renewing the hospital network of the Marche, giving a decisive change of pace to the healthcare of the Marche, creating a network spread across the territory, close to the citizens, without distinctions between coast and hinterland, large and small centers".

The National Anti-Corruption Authority has positively verified the documentation for the final award after the usual dialogue with the contracting authority of the Marche Region, in compliance with the collaborative supervision protocol stipulated in July 2023 between the Authority chaired by Lawyer Busia and the regional body led by President Francesco Acquaroli. The protocol was signed for the management of the tenders for the construction of the hospitals in Pesaro, Macerata and San Benedetto del Tronto.

The Authority, after having examined the documentation and received the necessary clarifications from the person responsible for the assignment phase, has in fact favourably acknowledged the final award.. The same procedure also provides, as an option for the assignment, the management of the works and the coordination of safety during the execution phase for a maximum estimated value of the contract of just under 16 million euros.

All the design will be carried out following the Building Information Modeling method (BIM), with extensive use of cutting-edge technologies for the construction and monitoring of future construction work.
