Macerata: Aggravated theft and resisting a public official, 26-year-old reported

The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Macerata Company have 26 year old reported to the Judicial Authority of Gambia, resident in the capital, with a regular residence permit, for aggravated theft and resisting a public official. The suspect he was stopped near a shopping center and during the inspection the military found that the man was in possession of food items that he had shortly before stolen from the shelves of a shop, hiding them in the pockets of his coat.

When asked for identification, the young man reacted violently, resisting the check and attempting to escape, pushing the Carabinieri and trying to get away with the stolen goods. Despite the resistance, the soldiers managed to block him, recovering all the stolen goods, which were subsequently returned to the supermarket manager.
