Tunisian Fugitive Arrested in France and Handed Over to Italy. Wanted for Attempted Murder

Tunisian fugitive arrested in France and handed over to Italy. Wanted for attempted murder.
Yesterday, at the Border Police Office in Ventimiglia (IM), the French Penitentiary Police has 38-year-old Tunisian handed over to Italian authorities. The man was the recipient of a European arrest warrant, issued in September by the GIP of Macerata, for attempted murder in competition against a 27-year-old Tunisian worker, as well as for damage and illegal possession of weapons.
The facts, on which the Carabinieri of Macerata and Cingoli carried out the investigations, date back to October 2023 in Cingoli (MC) and Staffolo (AN).
The outcome of the investigations, supported by thetelephone records analysis and by interception, Has permission to locate the 2 authors, a Sardinian shepherd and a Tunisian.
The motive for the crimes can be traced back to the activity work carried out by the Sardinian shepherd and made fictitious hires of workers for their farm. Ai workers asked also sums of money to obtain the agricultural fund. The precautionary measure of the 46 year old Sardinian shepherd, resident in Staffolo (AN), was carried out arrest. The 38 year old Tunisian instead he made himself untraceable on Italian territory.
The investigations to track down the Tunisian fugitive led to his Detection and arrest in France thanks to a European arrest warrant. After the extradition procedures, he was escorted to the Border Police Office in Ventimiglia and handed over to Italian justice.
