Civitanova Marche: 19-year-old Moroccan reported for aggravated theft

The Carabinieri of the Civitanova Marche Station have reported, for the crimes of aggravated theft and violation of the expulsion order, a 19-year-old Moroccan resident of Fermo. The young man is believed to be, together with other individuals not yet identified, responsible for two thefts in public establishments.

The military of the Carabinieri Station of Civitanova Marche, reported to the Judicial Authority a 19-year-old citizen of Morocco, resident in Fermo, already known to the Police Forces, in possession of a regular residence permit, for the crimes of aggravated theft and violation of the mandatory expulsion order.

The investigations, supported by the analysis of images extracted from video surveillance systems, have allowed the 19-year-old to be identified as one of the perpetrators of two thefts in public establishments, committed in collaboration with other individuals, currently not yet identified..

The first theft was committed on the night of January 17th at a bar in Civitanova Marche, the thieves, after having forced the entrance door, stole the sum of 500 euros in cash, contained in the cash register, and also 80 packs of tobacco. The timely intervention of a Carabinieri patrol forced the criminals to flee on foot, abandoning the packs of tobacco on the street, which were later recovered and returned to the bar manager.

The second theft occurred on the night of January 19th at a beach resort, closed for the winter season. The thieves, after breaking a French window, managed to enter and steal goods of little value, but caused considerable damage to the structure.

Furthermore, the 19-year-old was also reported for violating the mandatory expulsion order, since in November 2023 the aforementioned measure had been imposed on him, with a ban on returning to the municipality of Civitanova Marche for a period of three years.

Investigations continue to identify the suspect's accomplices.
