Viareggio: steals spirits from Esselunga, 40-year-old non-EU citizen arrested

Yet another episode of violence that occurred inside commercial activities with large public receptivity. On this occasion, a 40-year-old Moroccan man, after having taken possession of numerous alcoholic beverages from the shelves of the Esselunga supermarket in Viareggio, attempted to escape, making it easier by grabbing and pushing the security personnel who, in the meantime, had noticed the man trying to hide the spirits under his jacket.

While managing to wriggle free from the grip while simultaneously reaching the outside of the supermarket, the criminal was immediately stopped by the military of a patrol of the Radiomobile Section of the Viareggio Carabinieri Company which had arrived in the meantime and was alerted via the emergency number 112.

The stolen goods were recovered and returned to the supermarket manager while the man, after a night spent in the security room of the Viareggio Arma Command, was brought before the Judge of the Court of Lucca who validated the arrest and ordered his immediate release, imposing as a precautionary measure the ban on returning to the entire province of Lucca.
