Lucca: stalks ex-girlfriend while under house arrest, arrested by Carabinieri.
In Capannori (Lucca) – a hamlet of Marlia, the Carabinieri of the Ponte a Moriano Station, assisted by their colleagues from the Lucca Company's radiomobile section, in compliance with a custodial detention order issued by the GIP of the Nuoro Court, arrested a 36-year-old resident of Capannori, with a criminal record.
The man, already subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest for alleged stalking committed against his ex-girlfriend, on the afternoon of October 24, taking advantage of a one-hour leave that had been given to him to attend to ordinary life needs, went to Lucca to his ex-girlfriend's workplace and waited near the entrance to the building, with the clear intent of being seen in order to intimidate her.
After about 20 minutes, discouraged by the presence of some female colleagues who had noticed him, the 36-year-old walked away to return to his home. Considering the accumulated delay, he justified himself with the operator of the Carabinieri Operations Center of Lucca, reporting that he was late because a stranger had occupied his parking space.
The subsequent investigations carried out by the Military of the Carabinieri, through the acquisition of various testimonies and images from the video surveillance systems, allowed to fully reconstruct the event and to report it to the Judicial Authority that issued the provision.
When the Carabinieri showed up at his home to execute the precautionary measure, the 36-year-old went into a rage and attacked the soldiers, pushing them, with the clear intent of avoiding arrest.
After calming him down, the man was taken to the Lucca prison, at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
