Vertical City: the recovery plan for the ancient stairs of Naples starts from Moiariello.

"With a total allocation of over 5 million and 700 thousand euros, financed with the Metropolitan City of Naples Development and Cohesion Plan, we are starting the recovery and redevelopment of the historic pedestrian paths between the hills and the sea - explained the Green Councilor Vincenzo Santagada – the intervention will affect, in addition to Salita Moiariello, the monumental staircase of Montesanto, the Pedamentina of San Martino, the Steps of Petraio, Calata San Francesco and Salita Cacciottoli".

"The recovery of the ancient stairs is a further step by the Administration towards restoring the decorum and safety of pedestrian axes of notable historical-urban planning peculiarity to guarantee maximum usability of such a precious asset for the community - observed Deputy Mayor Laura Lieto – The works will proceed in stages and safe pedestrian travel will always be permitted, as well as access to private properties along the route."

Città Verticale: parte dal Moiariello il piano di recupero delle antiche scale di Napoli.

Il project provides for the recovery of the elements characterizing the building typology, the urban-historical system and the elements that characterize the street furniture, the public lighting, the road fabric. We will go to act on the restoration of floors and walls with local materials and traditional installation techniques by replacing, or simply cleaning the stone materials (flooring slabs, deterrent elements, parapets, wall covers, etc.), as well as new elements of urban furniture (totems, seats, digital islands, communication elements) which are inserted into the pre-existing ones, redeveloping the areas.
