La Spezia: the ABEO Association gives Mayor Peracchini a pomegranate, bearer of positive symbols.

This morning, on the occasion of World Childhood Cancer Day, lthe ABEO association LIGURIA (Hemopathic and Oncological Child Association), represented by its member Gabriella Spezzano, donated a pomegranate to the Mayor of La Spezia Pierluigi Peracchini.

“This day is an opportunity for reflection and solidarity for all the children who are fighting against cancer and their families who support them in the treatment process – declares the Mayor of La Spezia Pierluigi Peracchini – I thank the Abeo association for placing the attention on this issue with this initiative".

ABEO together with FIAGOP (Italian Federation of Parents and Healed Associations of Pediatric Oncohematology Onlus) has organized this moment to raise public awareness on this delicate issue but through the pomegranate, bearer of many positive symbols, it wants to send a positive and hopeful message.

This fruit is in fact formed by the union of many small arils, each a fundamental part of the fruit itself, as happens in the therapeutic alliance that unites doctors, patients, families, associations, which has become our symbol.
