Lombardy Region Recognizes 607 Other Companies as Historic Activities

The Lombardy Region awards the recognition of 'Historical and Traditional Activity' to another 607 shops, venues and artisan workshops which have operated without interruption for at least 40 years.

This is the breakdown based on the categories: 311 historic shops, 161 historic artisan workshops, 135 historic venues. Si it therefore enriches the regional register of historical activities which now includes a total of 3.909 companies.

 The Region's thanks to those who make Lombardy great – The awards were approved by the regional economic development department chaired by Guido Guidesi: "The brand - highlights Guidesi - symbolizes the Region's thanks to those who, with their daily work, make Lombardy great and guarantee a fundamental presence for the communities. Scholars and experts should analyze the history of these small businesses to truly understand where the economic and social strength of our land comes from. These are businesses that over the decades have been able to resist and innovate in the name of tradition, often successfully implementing generational change. The Lombardy Region will always be, with conviction, on their side".
