Teramo, the procedure for the assignment of post-earthquake works for the San Giuseppe school has begun

Yesterday morning, on the municipal notice board, the demonstration was published of interest preparatory to the negotiated procedure for the awarding of post-earthquake reconstruction works of kindergarten and primary school "Saint Joseph", an intervention that falls under special ordinance n.6.

The total cost of the works is 5.624.416,97 euros plus VAT, with a starting price of 5.416.583,61 euros, and Interested economic operators will have to submit their expression of interest, accompanied by all the documentation requested in the public notice, by 9:00 am on 11 June 2024, by accessing the Maggioli platform, a this address. 

"As we promised, we started the process for awarding the works before the summer, once again respecting the commitments made - underlines the Mayor Gianguido D'Alberto - After the necessary integration of the initial financing, there was a decisive acceleration by the Council, which allowed us to publish the tender for the contract in a very short time. The San Giuseppe affair is yet another demonstration of how the amount of contributions initially allocated, established without a basic plan, was completely insufficient, an aspect that had a negative impact on the timing of the reconstruction. Since our installation we have worked to heal this wound and thanks to an important planning work, which combined reconstruction and regeneration, today we have all the school assets fully funded. An aspect that, as highlighted by the same commissioner structure, makes our reconstruction plan an example for the entire seismic crater. Obviously we are not satisfied and we intend to increasingly speed up public reconstruction, continuing on the path traced, returning seismically safe structures to the city and bringing, with a precise political-administrative choice, the schools back to the center, also contributing to revitalizing the heart of Teramo"
