Sassari: 3 athletes from the National Kickboxing team at Palazzo Ducale.

Mayor Giuseppe Mascia received at Palazzo Ducale three Sassari Kickboxing athletes, holders of the 2024 Italian champion title, who participated in the world championships in Budapest.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Mayor Tore Dau and Councillor for Productive Activities Lello Panu.
Christian Mameli, Noemi Virdis and Iris Pirastru, model students at school and great sporting pride for the city, talked about their recent experience in Hungary, where they represented Italy at the Wako World Championship (Wako – World Association of Kickboxing Organizations), the highest competition for practitioners of this sport. The championship saw the participation of 90 nations and more than 3000 athletes divided by category and weight.

The mayor asked them numerous questions, about the discipline they practice, within the Federkombat (official Coni federation for Kickboxing) but also about their daily lives.
Accompanying the young athletes were coaches Andrea Damasconi and Donatella Panu of Asd Realsport Sassari, who did not hide their great satisfaction for the commitment and determination of the three.
