Sanremo: the Piccolo Cottolengo “Don Orione” welcomes the Carabinieri again for a special visit to the guests of the structure.
With great emotion the Small Cottolengo of Sanremo this year too it welcomed the visit of the Carabinieri of the Sanremo Company, who brought joy and hope to the guests.
After the great success of the visit in June last year, the Carabinieri were welcomed with great enthusiasm by guests and the staff of the facility.
Led by Captain Massimiliano Corbo, the arrival of the soldiers was particularly impressive thanks to the entrance into the cloister of the Alfa Giulia with the institute colours, giving a suggestive emotion to all those present.
The visit therefore took place in an atmosphere of great cordiality and participation, demonstrating once again the closeness of the Corps to the most vulnerable people.
During the meeting, in fact, the Carabinieri had the opportunity to visit the Alzheimer's department, inaugurated last December 7th.
This innovative department was designed to offer a stimulating and safe environment for patients and also includes a train cabin (carefully reconstructed to offer guests a unique therapeutic experience), the relaxation room and the Alzheimer's garden.
An adequate response therefore, in step with new scientific achievements which increasingly propose an alternative therapy to the massive use of drugs.
The Carabinieri were able to closely observe the structure and the proposed activities, expressing their appreciation for the work carried out by the Piccolo Cottolengo staff.
A particularly touching moment was the meeting with Maurizio, a guest from the disabled department who dreams of becoming a Carabiniere. Maurizio's enthusiasm and determination deeply impressed Captain Corbo and all the Carabinieri present.
The Director of Piccolo Cottolengo, Don Fulvio Ferrari, expressed his gratitude for the visit of the Carabinieri, underlining the importance of these moments of closeness and sharing for the guests of the facility. “The presence of the Carabinieri represents a tangible sign of solidarity and affection towards our guests, and it is a great honor to welcome them here” said Don Fulvio.
The visit of the Carabinieri was not just a symbolic gesture, but a real moment of sharing and humanity. Their presence brought a smile to the faces of the guests and strengthened the bond between the Army and the Piccolo Cottolengo “Don Orione” of Sanremo.
