Jonah is only 8 years old, but he already has a lot to teach adults. Armed with gloves and container, collects cigarette butts left on the beach which he attends with his mother Marianna.

«An exemplary gesture, which deserves to be rewarded» said the mayor of Pesaro Andrea Biancani, who awarded him the city's applause. «He stood out for his high civic sense and a strong attachment to the environment. His story was reported to me on social media and it struck me. What he does is voluntarily collect cigarette butts thrown away by adults it is an admirable work of cleanliness and decorum and for the health of people and for the good of the environment. I would like his action to be taken as an example by other citizens too. I invite everyone, first of all, to respect the environment by not throwing cigarettes on the ground, then not to look the other way. If there are many of us who do like Jonah, the city will be even more beautiful and welcoming».
