The meetings of the Carabinieri of the Tricarico Company with the citizens continue, as part of the awareness campaign launched by the Provincial Command of Matera against scams against the elderly.

The initiative, promoted by the Carabinieri, aims to protect the most vulnerable segments of the population, with particular attention to the elderly, who are often victims of scams and fraud.

In fact, a meeting was held in the last few days in the “Don Vito Manfredi” auditorium of the church SS Salvatore all'Immacolata of Irsina, where the Commander of the local Carabinieri Company met a large number of citizens of all ages to whom attention was drawn to real news stories, describing the fraudulent techniques most preferred by criminals, which often mislead the unfortunate. The event saw the active participation of some victims of scams that occurred in their homes who, through their direct experience, intervened by providing useful recommendations and suggestions necessary to prevent these increasingly frequent phenomena.
